Welcome to the intermediate level of your Swedish language journey! Our General Swedish B1 course is designed for students who have successfully completed A2 or possess an equivalent intermediate understanding of Swedish. At this level, you will significantly deepen your linguistic knowledge, enabling you to express yourself more spontaneously and discuss a wider range of topics with greater ease. You’ll gain the confidence to handle most daily situations, understand core points of complex texts, and further integrate into Swedish-speaking environments.

Format & Duration

This comprehensive course consists of 150 live Zoom lessons delivered over 15 weeks. Every lesson is recorded and made accessible to students after each session, offering valuable resources for review and flexibility if you miss a class.

Schedule:

• 2 days/week: 3 lessons (2 hours total) with your main instructor.
• 2 days/week: 2 conversation lessons (80 minutes total) with a conversation instructor.

Course Materials:

We primarily use the På Svenska and Grammatiken course books. Our instructors supplement these with an extensive variety of engaging media and sources, including short TV series, news programs, presentations, songs, and videos, to provide a rich and practical learning experience.

All necessary materials are provided by Swedish Brain and are included in your course fee.

• Describe experiences and events, dreams, hopes and ambitions, and briefly give reasons and explanations for opinions and plans.
